How Jennifer Aniston’s LolaVie brand grew sales 40% with CTV ads

For its first CTV campaign, Jennifer Aniston’s DTC haircare brand LolaVie had a few non-negotiables. The campaign had to be simple. It had to demonstrate measurable impact. And it had to be full-funnel.

LolaVie used Roku Ads Manager to test and optimize creatives — reaching millions of potential customers at all stages of their purchase journeys. Roku Ads Manager helped the brand convey LolaVie’s playful voice while helping drive omnichannel sales across both ecommerce and retail touchpoints.

The campaign included an Action Ad overlay that let viewers shop directly from their TVs by clicking OK on their Roku remote. This guided them to the website to buy LolaVie products.

📰 The Local Rundown

🛍️ Colleyville Hits 96% Retail Occupancy

If it feels like Colleyville has fewer empty storefronts lately, the numbers back that up. At the City Council's Oct. 5 work session, the city's economic development team reported that retail occupancy has reached 96%, with overall occupancy at 93%, Community Impact reported. The report counted one retail spot left, in Suite 125 on Main Street.

The city is still building on land that sat unused, with about 82,989 square feet of construction underway and another 175,000 square feet planned. Most of what's here is small: 91% of Colleyville businesses have fewer than 20 employees, and the median rent is $27 per square foot.

A big part of the city's approach is money that stays in town. Colleyville has put more than $7.8 million in grants toward local businesses since 2018. The summer gift card program, which gives every household a $35 card to spend at participating local businesses and restaurants, sent $281,960 to local businesses this year and $6 million since 2018. Chelsea Rose, who presented the update for the city, said the restaurant-only gift card will return in 2027.

Business owners, there's one deadline to note. Applications for Brighten Up the Boulevard, a matching grant for Christmas lights along Colleyville Boulevard, are open until Nov. 13. It reimburses up to 50% of lighting costs, with a cap of $5,000 for shopping centers and $2,000 for individual businesses. Colleyville Gives, a fourth-quarter marketing grant, awards up to $1,000, plus another $1,000 for businesses that donate $500 to a local nonprofit.

The presentation also listed restaurants as featured prospects that could come to Colleyville in the future: Applebee's, CAVA, Dave's Hot Chicken, Fuzzy's, Layne's Chicken, Tim Hortons, Swig and Whataburger. They're prospects, not announced openings. "It's an exciting time to be in Colleyville," Mayor Bobby Lindamood said. "People are investing in our town and our town is investing in our businesses."

💵 NRH's 10% Restaurant Cash Back Returns in January

If you like trying new places to eat, here's something to plan around after the holidays. North Richland Hills is bringing back its Restaurant Rewards program for a third year. On Oct. 12, the City Council voted 7-0 to approve a contract of up to $104,740 with Open Rewards, Inc., whose app runs the program and pays out the rewards.

From Jan. 1 through April 30, 2027, diners will get 10% cash back on purchases at North Richland Hills restaurants through the Open Rewards app, according to the council's meeting record.

The city hasn't posted the 2027 rules yet, but this year's program was open to anyone, not just NRH residents. You downloaded the app, joined the NRH program and uploaded your receipt within seven days of each meal. Rewards were capped at $50 per transaction and $500 per person, tips didn't count, and food trucks, grocery stores and convenience stores weren't included. It also ran only while funds lasted.

🍽️ Local Table 🍽️

❤️ Local Favorite: Main St. | 900 S. Main St., Suite 305, Keller

Main St. calls itself a locally owned brunch spot off 377 in Keller, in the space that was once home to Main St. Cafe. A small family of restaurateurs founded it and runs it as a family-owned restaurant, and it's celebrating one year in business. The cooking is American comfort food with Southern and Southwestern roots, served in a contemporary Western dining room.

The menu is built for a big breakfast. The Main St. Country Breakfast layers two eggs over an open-faced biscuit with sausage patties, country gravy and cheddar, and the Southwestern omelet is stuffed with brisket, jalapeños, tomatoes and avocado. The Sunrise Sandwich stacks bacon, an over-easy egg, Gruyère and chipotle mayo on a toasted brioche bun. For October, there are pumpkin spice pancakes made with real pumpkin and topped with house-made cinnamon honey butter. They don't take reservations, so it's first come, first served.
