How Jennifer Aniston’s LolaVie brand grew sales 40% with CTV ads

For its first CTV campaign, Jennifer Aniston’s DTC haircare brand LolaVie had a few non-negotiables. The campaign had to be simple. It had to demonstrate measurable impact. And it had to be full-funnel.

LolaVie used Roku Ads Manager to test and optimize creatives — reaching millions of potential customers at all stages of their purchase journeys. Roku Ads Manager helped the brand convey LolaVie’s playful voice while helping drive omnichannel sales across both ecommerce and retail touchpoints.

The campaign included an Action Ad overlay that let viewers shop directly from their TVs by clicking OK on their Roku remote. This guided them to the website to buy LolaVie products.

📰 The Local Rundown

🏡 A 357-Unit Senior Community Heads to Southlake Council

A big piece of land near the middle of Southlake could become a senior living community. Southlake's Planning and Zoning Commission approved plans from Touchmark for a 17.6-acre community at the southeast corner of North Carroll Avenue and East Highland Street, on land owned by Carroll ISD and Gateway Church. The zoning change, site plan and an update to the city's future land use plan now go to the City Council for a vote in November, according to Community Impact.

As proposed, the community would have 357 units for independent living, assisted living and memory care, and residents would need to be at least 62. The plan includes 8 acres of open space, an underground parking garage and 419 parking spaces in all. Touchmark, which has 18 communities in the U.S. and Canada, would develop, own and operate it.

Residents spoke on both sides at the Oct. 8 meeting. Some worried about the number of units and the traffic, while others said Southlake has few places for older residents who want to stay in town. According to the city, the zoning wouldn't allow the community to be converted into apartments, and any change would need council action.

⚽ Keller's Youth Sports Board Is Still on the Bench

Keller still hasn't decided whether to create a new resident board to oversee youth sports. As proposed, the Keller Sports Authority would ideally have seven Keller residents with current, direct experience in youth sports, appointed the same way as the city's other boards. It would receive quarterly or seasonal updates from each sports association and make recommendations to the City Council.

The city says it invested about $48 million to transform Keller Sports Park, and its staff presentation notes that "many Keller families are choosing to participate in programs outside of Keller." On Sept. 15, the council voted 6-1 to table a resolution creating the board, with Mayor Ross McMullin voting no. On Oct. 6, according to draft minutes, the council asked staff to set up a joint work session with the Parks and Recreation Board.

That session took place Oct. 20. According to the draft minutes, the discussion included compliance with user agreements, accountability, transparency and "inappropriate coaching conduct," and members talked about strengthening user agreements, increasing reporting requirements, improving enforcement and getting community feedback. No formal action was taken, and the ordinance that would have created the board saw no action that night, so for now the board does not exist.

🔜 Coming Soon: 7 Brew Coffee | 901 Keller Pkwy., Keller

7 Brew Coffee is a step closer to Keller Parkway. At its Oct. 20 meeting, Keller City Council unanimously approved a specific use permit for a 7 Brew drive-thru at 901 Keller Pkwy., the multitenant building at the northeast corner of Keller Parkway and Pate Orr Road, plus a site plan for the property. The city's Planning and Zoning Commission had recommended the permit 5-0 in September.

The plans would turn the building's existing drive-thru into a double-lane drive-thru and give the 1984 building a full exterior makeover, along with a rehabbed parking lot and new landscaping. 7 Brew would share the building with Little Caesars, Keller Donuts and possibly a new restaurant. Proposed hours are 5:30 AM to 10 PM Sunday through Thursday and 5:30 AM to 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. No opening date has been announced.
